On 14th December 2018 representatives of Turkmenistan attend the Forum of Baltic and Central Asian countries, organised by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Latvia (www.izm.gov.lv) “Cross-border Cooperation between the Baltic and Central Asian Countries for the Development of Higher Education” . The forum was enhanced by visits to various educational establishments and related governmental bodies, aimed to establish direct collaboration and links between education sectors of the countries involved.
Mr. Vekil Vekilov, Deputy Dean of the International Relations and Law Department of International University for the Humanities and Development was appointed by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistant to represent the country in the Panel discussion of the Forum with speakers speakers from Central Asia countries, sharing their opinions on how cross-regional cooperation can improve the quality of higher education. Panel discussion was moderated by Ms. Baiba Ramiņa, Director of Academic Information Centre, Latvia (www.aic.lv) and Senior Non-Key Expert of the EU project «Support to the Education Sector of Turkmenistan».
